Alignment not the same after publishing

User: W.D. K. 10 years ago
Hi,

I noticed that after publishing a site the alignment of several images is not what it should be compared with how is was designed in Everweb. Safari, Chrome and IE are showing it the same way.
Does anyone know how to prevent this or can be solved? Thanks

Regards,

Wouter

I tried with different fonts and a horizontal line.

The text was saved as an image.

They all aligned.

If it does not work for you, move the line up or move the text down until they align in the browser.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.
The text is an image as well, So it should be the same as what you tried.
The suggestion you made is a workaround is it not. It should be the same. Now That I think about it, it happend with version 1.9.6. The previous version I used was 1.9 and I do not recall that this happened then.

Thanks again.

I am having the same problem. I arrange things in Everweb, and they publish differently.

Usually this happens when your line spacing is not set to 1.0 (under inspector->Text settings) because some browsers will display text boxes with line spacing differently. Can you confirm that your line spacing is set to 1.0?

Also, all browsers display slightly differently, Firefox is the one that gets me most of the time.
Here is an older article that talks about some differences.

Line Height is 1, The other settings are as follows: Before Paragraph 0, After paragraph 15, inset margin 0.

I played around with the proportions in the size of the text boxes. Previously, it kept snapping back to the old height, but then I changed the "after paragraph" text setting, and it let me adjust the size of my text box. I just republished, and the problem still exists even though there is no overlapping of text boxes.

Can you provide a link to the exact page with the issue?
