Viewing Images and Assets

Images and Assets

This has caught me out a couple of times and raised the inevitable question mark in the thought bubble that floats above my head.

When an image is added to Assets it appears under Images. If the image is used in an HTML Widget it appears in the ewExternalFiles folder, and not the Images folder, in the published files. Its kind of illogical that the image doesn't get to be listed in the External Files section of the right hand sidebar in EasyWeb.

To be fair the problem was created by me uploading only the new files - rather than all of them - and shouldn't present a problem if/when EasyWeb was/is capable of doing this.

Still and all, it doesn't make sense to me and this image should help to illustrate the point...

Yeah, that is probably not going to change anytime soon.

Ah - is saving and publishing going to be speeded up soon?

Yes, by keeping track which pages need to be saved (they are turning bold) we are trying to discover any times where something isn't properly marked as unsaved. Once we are confident that EasyWeb is marking all changed pages, we can make it only save those changed pages.

So EasyWeb just sort of develops itself and you just watch to see if it's growing fast enough?

A little color correction could go a long ways on your photo ( make you look less like the "Tan Mom" )
