I have used Nabble a few times. Good software, good service. You get most control over how things work. One thing to keep in mind, if set to anyone can post, the bots will find you and probably make a mess, if not set that way, when people register, they register for your site and all of Nabble as well. Since you will be using a feed of sorts, sometimes when using it, it will kick you to the Nabble site, where the forum really is, but you will land in the forum, not a main page or something. I believe it is mostly all done by one guy and he keeps it going. Looks/works well on desktop and mobile. Setting up is as easy as pasting the code into HTML Snippet. |

A user forum/bulletin board can add a lot of interest and benefit to a website but can also suck up a lot of time and energy. Before deciding on a forum, you need to do a reality check. Do you have the time and patience to administer a forum? There are a lot of crazies out there with few brain cells and big mouths. If they are not controlled, you can end up with a mess of obscene or illiterate crap. Nabble is simple to set up but is very limited. If you are serious about being a forum master, consider going with the “professional” choice. phpBB is open source and has just about every feature you could wish for. It needs to be setup on the server so check with your hosting service to see how easy it is to install it and set up the database. All hosting is not equal and some make this task a lot easier than others. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
