E-Commerce Widgets

E-Commerce widgets are available for creating fixed width and responsive e-stores and custom PayPal buttons, options label, options module and an info module for creating a category page.

Have a look at the fixed width demo and the responsive demo.

For those who are creating responsive websites using the Flex widgets there are new widgets for PayPal, PayPal with expanding product slider, ECWID e-Store and a widget for inserting other types of responsive store pages.
There’s also a Flex widget for creating the Expanding Slider in the update package.

I should point out that anybody can insert an ECWID - or any other eStore - using the HTML Snippet widget. Hopefully, we can persuade ECWID to update their iWeb instructions to illustrate how it's done using EverWeb.

The advantage of using the widgets is that the store can be made responsive - even although the rest of the website isn't - using the same technique as the Flex widgets.

The widgets also allow the user to insert a footer into the store so that it responds to changes in page content height.

I'm gonna try out this one of these days. Nice work. Maybe you should ask EW users to show their e-shops made by your widgets. I saw one and must say, it was very well done !

I think there may be an e-store video tutorial in the pipeline. Perhaps when that is available, it will encourage more EverWeb users to create proper stores rather than just use PayPal.

I suppose I should put more effort into my example e-store. I spent less than an hour signing up, figuring it out and creating the pages! If anyone else wants me to showcase their store - in place of my hasty effort - I will gladly do so. Just send me the ECWID store ID - or the insert code if using another type of store.

A new widget has been added to this pack for creating a product slideshow with a slide up info panel and text or image links.
