Replace/update asset

User: Sven V. 8 years ago
I would like to replace one image with a changed version of that image. I was expecting to do a right click on it on the image or asset name and give me the option to replace that image, but surprisingly enough, that doesn't exist. How do I do this efficiently?

I know the work around is to delete the image, delete the asset from the asset list, drag an image in again and try to put and size it the same as the previous image. But that wouldn't be efficient and accurate.

I think, from what your saying you just need to drag your image from Assets on top and it will automatically change that image.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for that. Yes, that works indeed, but the older image will then stay in the assets folder. This means I will have to delete it separately.

After saving and publishing, you can speed up the action in the Assets menu by clicking on the tiny arrows to right of Asset word. The bottom entry should be 'Find unused assets'. Click it and all unused assets show in a list, highlighted, and asking if you want to delete
