| I experimented with opening single image pages as a popup window with a link from the thumbnail. Works great on the computer but I get an odd and incomplete white border on the iPad – with the white line cutting nth image. Is there anything I should know about doing this, or is just not the cat's meow. | |

It seems that once again it was the operator - me. I go lazy and didn't eliminate the unneeded header and footer from the test pages, and to compound that didn't add those measurements in when calculating the measurements. When I corrected for that, all is good. I'll leave one up for a while to show what I was seeing on the iPad (on computer it simply offered up scroll bars). But all is well, thank you. If you want to see the effect, tap on the second thumbnail on this page on an iPad: Hm - the link shows here while editing but disappears on posting. Page is: http://jamescraigphotography.com/folios/easter-island/index.html It's a classy way to show the larger images from thumbs, but the one negative I see on the iPad and phone with the popups is that I lose the pinch/expand ability for the images on those popups.
