So, I tried to copy ... past my logo from iWeb into EasyWeb and I noticed it looked different. I then tried to drag and drop the original file from the Finder and it was the same thing. The difference is subtle, but noticeable. Please take a close look below. Original File ![]() After Inserted Into EasyWeb - Notice the shadow around the letters has reduced and color looks slightly fainted..

Does it look different in the EasyWeb application or on the published site?

Both in EasyWeb and on published site it looks different. It is a a .png file. I put it against a black background and it is more noticeable. Original - If you notice you can't see the shadow around the letters because it totally blends in with the black background. ![]() Now in EasyWeb you can see the shadow around the letters because the shadow has now turned grey instead of remaining black

Did EW convert it to a JPEG?

[quote="lilnitsch":nn3rbdyh]EasyWeb also seems to be giving your logo a slight halo[/quote:nn3rbdyh] Yes, halo is the right way to describe it. It is not just my logo. All the shapes that I have created in iWeb are giving me this same problem. Especially the one that have shadow effect enabled. The logo just happened to be the first thing I tried to copy over and I noticed the change right away. |

I think this is related to how the image mask is being read. At this time I really have no idea why it is not importing correctly.

| Any update on this issue? All my images look funny in EasyWeb. I can't find any way around it. | |

I am inserting a few PDF text pages on the main page and the quality is also downgraded. The same PDFs look perfectly sharp in IWeb but somewhat blurry in EW...

@Emmanual: Your image issue should be fixed in the next beta @Yelena: This is a different issue. After you have inserted your PDF, click "Set Original Size" under the Fill options for the shape. FYI, PDF's shouldn't be included as images. Instead link to them using the link to file option and let the browser load them in their own PDF viewer. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Because PDF's that are inserted as an image are more difficult for people to read and don't look as good as PDF's that are opened in your web browser's PDF viewer. Plus the PDF viewer gives you more features like copying and pasting text, zooming, easy printing and more. It should work just the same in EasyWeb as it does in iWeb, but no matter what you use to build your website, PDF's shouldn't be included as images. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Quote: It should work just the same in EasyWeb as it does in iWeb This is just the point: it doesn't look as sharp... The reason I am using it as an image though is that I don't need anyone to copy or modify it but I need the formatting that I created in Pages. It is very difficult to reproduce that on a webpage - if I copy and paste it changes fonts, size, layout, etc. So I create a page I need in Pages, export it as a PDF and then use in IWeb. Maybe it is nuts from a developer point of view but it looks good to me...Below is part of the page - the text is PDF page (in IWeb) ------------------------------- Yelena MacBook Pro OS X 10.10.3 IMac 21" OS X 10.10.3 |
