I have a question about adding Fonts - specifically Google... They generate a code for you and that goes into Head Code - easy... But what about integrating it into CSS Style sheet? Where do I put that in EasyWeb ? I know it is easy but I have never done it and don't quite understand where CSS Style sheet is in EasyWeb...:)

All you need to bother about is pasting the link to the font(s) on the Google server into the site wide head code box.

Install the fonts on your Mac and they ail appear in the fonts window. Select the font in the usual way and EW will take care of the rest.

I did a little tutorial a few weeks ago and the download link is at the bottom of this page...

OK, thank you, Roddy, that's what I thought - but wanted to be sure....

I should have mentioned that, if you are only using a hosted font on one or two pages of the site, you can put the link in the Head Code box for the page(s) rather than the site.

I need a little bit more help understanding how fonts work on the web. I just read this thread, including Roddy's tutorial. I've been to the Google font page. But prior to doing all this, I published to folder and the fonts I've chosen are working in some ways, and not in others. The fonts I've chosen all show up: Stone Sans OS ITC, Futura, Sand, and Cheapskate Fill. Yet, some have replaced others and taken on different colours, sizes and positions! Very strange.

I googled web safe fonts and see only a small list mentioned. Must I stick just with those, and those I can download from Google Fonts? (http://www.vedadesigns.net/web_safe_fonts.php). Curious, because like I said, the ones I used show up... just with mixed results.

Are these on your computer or other computers? Colors, size and positions shouldn't change (or if they do, just very subtly). If this happens with EasyWeb, please post example URLs here so I can take a look.

Yes, if you want your website to look consistent for all your visitors you will have to stick to these.

The whole point in using hosted fonts is so you are free from the restriction of web safe ones. Google has hundreds of fonts.

Did you install all the fonts on your Mac?

Can you publish the page to a server and post the URL?
