Contact Form widget not working...

User: Lena Arice L. 8 years ago
Contact Form widget is not working.

Looking that problem up here, I find there have been glitches with AOL, Yahoo, etc., that were addressed?

Always update to latest EverWeb, so that's not it.

Have deleted original Contact Form I had placed on page and recreated it Still won't work.

Any alternative widget sugestion??

Want to have this working.

Site page in question: http://www.millerstalemusic.com/contact.html

Thank you,
Lena

There are some contact form widgets although I recommend you read the Info, Script and Settings pages before attempting any of them.

Those who have had problems with them, didn't follow the instructions or realise that code requires 100% accuracy - 99.9% doesn't cut it!

Paul, I did try a new E-mail address just now (funny since I had not seen your question.advice/suggestion to me about it until I got it to work, and wanted to let you know...).

Worked instantly with gmail. AOL did not work. AOL is making Safari crash, too, but that's another story...

Thanks again.

Couple things I've found with the stock contact form...
You have to use a real email address in the form when you do your test.
Also I found you have to reload the page with the form on it before sending another message/test... Paul says the reload is not needed, just what I've found works!

Some mail servers will probably reject an email coming from a fake email address because it will look like spam. Especially free email accounts like aol and yahoo.

A good tip though!

Yeah it shouldn't be required but I will investigate this further.

Also, another piece of advice I would give is stop using aol :-)

Hi :)

I have the same problem with the standard contact form. Tested with several email-accounts. When hitting submit nothing happends other that clearing the fields. No "succcess" message, just a blink and the fields gets cleared. Noting in spam-folders. Turened of ad-blocker, did not help.

Do another test...
Delete the contact form you have put on the page. Drag the contact widget on the page again, in a different spot (so you'll know the new one publishes) fill in the widget info. then publish and test... If it works you're done, if not create a test page drag the widget on to it publish and test.

If neither of these work, I would look at the directory on your server.

@dusanofrode

You have two flavours of jquery files.

One by the contact widget and one by a quotes widget.

They may interfere with each other.

Remove the quotes widget or do not use the java script that comes with it.

I am having the same problems. Contact form does not send email to inbox or junk? Once you have sent contact form it shows no sent confirmation. Any ideas? Here is link http://www.thevintagegolfer.com/personal-shopper-.html?

Not working for me either. This has been an issue for at least the last 3 version of everweb. Time to get it right.
I started with the business mobile template. Never touched the widget except to move it down the page.

Can you post the URL of the published page with the contact form on it?
