Live Photos

Would a widget to play the new Live Photos coming out of the new iPhone be possible?

Even if it were possible, I'm no sure that anyone would want to.

Live Photos comprise a JPEG image file and a movie file in the .mov format. They can only be viewed on supported devices - iOS devices running iOS 9, Apple Watches on watchOS 2, and Macs running OS X El Capitan - and the files are ridiculously large. The JPG is 2.5 Mb and the MOV is 1.7MB

Luve photos are now becoming more the norm and it isn't just apple that use this technology. Microsoft use this regularly in the lumia lineup however with the new flagship this outputs to either a .wmv (video) or a series of images.

This then could easily be imported into an image carousel that in essence would act like a flip book flipping seamlessly between. Each of the images giving the impression of video.

Although as Roddy pointed out this would slow down the loading time of your webpage somewhat as the file would be quite large.
