Viewing Center Align

Center Align

I'm kind of lost without a means to align objects in the center of the page. Could this be an option in prefs?

Also, still no way to tell where the page content ends and the browser background begins which makes centering objects in the middle of the page almost impossible without using the metrics inspector and some mental arithmetic!

Will there be a keyboard command for Hide/Show layout?

Hi Roddy,

1) With EasyWeb you can select a "Center Aligned Layout" under the page inspector which creates a page that is always center aligned. Are you looking for a way to center align an object in a page so that it is always centered when a browser is resized or JUST centered within EasyWeb? Did iWeb have a way to do this?

2) Do you want these objects to be in the middle of the page just in design mode or always in the middle when resizing a browser window? I am a little confused with the suggestions. If iWeb had a way to do what you want, let me know. If this is something new, let me know if you have a solution in mind.

3) Added keyboard shortcut for Show Layout in alpha 6

iWeb would give you a blue line when an image or object was centered on the page or another object:

iWeb has a preference to show either the center alignment or the left/top/right/bottom alignment guides. I will add this to our to do list for EasyWeb as right now we only do left/top/right/bottom alignment guides.
