Viewing Iweb photo masking made me lazy.

Iweb photo masking made me lazy.

I've played around with Iweb since the beginning. The photo masking feature I'm finding out had made me lazy. With Iweb I could upload a poor photo, fix it, resize its and then mask it. Budda bing, Budda bang, all photos work. I'm finding out that it was a lazy way of working with photos. Since Easyweb at the moment doesn't have a good masking feature I had to resort to actually cropping and sizing each photo exactly the way I want it before dragging it to Easyweb.

In working this way I believe it's a much cleaner website. All my sizing and cropping is now done in Preview, it's exactly the way I want it before added to the page (there's no masking). When it's perfect it's positioned in Eayweb. Now that I'm doing all the sizing and cropping ahead of time I think that the photos are actually better and the page loads faster.

I would tend to agree.

All these features that are being requested such as masking, opacity, instant alpha etc are more appropriate for a DTP or image manipulation app than a web design one.

It doesn't make sense to me to load up EasyWeb with a bunch of features that are available on your Mac anyway. A lot of users don't seem to be aware of how powerful and useful Preview.app is.

On the other hand, it would be nice to record audio and shoot movies directly into EW for editing, auto coding and inserting into a page!
