Have a few nice websites made by iWeb. Was thinking of purchasing Sitemap Automator because the trial version has a 25 link limitation and the trial version don't notify search engines , but: • 1. What's the difference between downloading from Apple's App Store and dealing directly from the Rage store ? There's a notification in the App Store to NOT download V7.2 because it's not the latest version. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sitemap-automator/id467304591?mt=12 I'm using Mac OS 10.75 and 10.85 . • 2. With the search engine notifications is a special account necessary with the engines, or does this Automator take care of everything? • 3. How important are notifications to the search engines? The latest version is V3 which was updated to work with EverWeb. You should open an account with the major search engines. A lot of people just open an account with Google and this probably works OK. Find out about the steps required for setting up an account with Google. The sitemap.xml on its own is essential to make sure the search engines index your site correctly. Okay. Thanks. But will V3 work with iWeb ? Will V3 work with Mac OS 10.75 ? Why does the App Store have V2.7 ? Do you have a collection of links to sign up with the search engines ? |

Yes, it will work with iWeb. There is a page on the iWeb for Musicians site but I don't know if the links are current. I don't maintain the site anymore since iWeb is redundant. Sitemap Automator will work with any website builder. Version 3 was updated to support publishing to an EverWeb + Hosting account. All versions will still scan any website. The App Store has version 2.7 because Apple makes it tedious to update software there. They give us know way to no who are customers are and it's difficult to manage and maintain. So to be honest, we just have not gotten to it yet. You should always create an account with Google and Bing. It's free anyways and provides a lot of good information for your website.
