Please help us publish our add-on domains

User: Daniel B. 10 years ago
Hi,

We have been unable to publish any of our addon domains (Everweb hosting).

Our "main," first domain, published just fine:
sunflowereducation.net

We then added several addon domains. We then published (uploaded) the files for these add ons. We then pointed the DNS at Everweb (using the same nameservers that came in our original welcome email and that we used for the "main" domain).

For each, the subdirectory in the publishing settings first appeared as "public_html/[addon domain name].com." Here's a real one: public_html/literarytermsbook.com.

It looked good, so I hit "publish."

As it was publishing, I noticed it said it was publishing to "public_htmlliterarytermsbookcom." (No slash or dot). Now that it has been supposedly published, the subdirectory reads "public_htmlliterarytermsbookcom", and it won't let me add the slash or the dot back in.

I wouldn't care, except the add-on websitres now show this:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Can anyone please give us some guidance?

Thank y'all so much!

UPDATE Now, all of a sudden, we have a new drop down in the Everweb publishing window." "Domains," which are the add ons! We guess it took about 6 hours after adding the add ons for this menu to appear. Using it, we have successfully published one addon and are optimistic about the others.

Saw nothing about this in the help video.

Just FYI.

You probably just had to log out and log back into your account in EverWeb after you added your new addon domains.
