Hi,

Is it possible to set a fixed header in Easyweb?

If not please implement.

Thanks

Here's an example of a fixed header and a fixed Soundcloud Stratus audio player created in EasyWeb...

Once you have mastered the basics of EasyWeb, one of the first steps to progress beyond beginner level should be to add your headings as HTML using the HTML Widget. This is pretty much essential for SEO if you want good results in the search engines.

Creating the actual header using HTML and CSS is just an extension. It only requires a very basic understanding of the code involved.

A header can be as simple as the website name, page name and a background image. It only has to be created once and then the Widget copied and pasted to every page. The CSS is just pasted once into the site wide head code box.

Once you have done this, fixing the header only requires one element to be added to the CSS.

Although we would like to get these features added, Roddy's work here and in other places really shows the power of EasyWeb. It shows how you are almost never "stuck" as you were with iWeb because of how much more powerful the HTML Snippet Widget is.

Thanks for making this Roddy!

You say in the example it doesn't work in ios, I find it works perfectly in the ipad...

I think we have to thank the developers of EasyWeb - whoever they may be! - for making this possible and straight forward.

Inserting header tags in iWebs was not easy, nor worth the time it took, because of the retarded way in which the HTML Snippet worked. EasyWeb makes it a breeze and there's no excuse for not doing it once you have got comfortable with the basic drag and drop stuff.

You are right. It didn't use to and I've never taken the trouble to check it in the latest version of Mobile Safari. Thanks for pointing it out and reminding me to keep up to date. I haven't done a lot with mobile design in the past few months - what with moving across the pond and all - and it's obvious that I am getting rusty!

Can somebody point me to other examples of websites that have fixed headers? Not necessarily your own...
