Standalone publishing to home server.

I run my own server and have my own domain name etc. In iWeb, I could set the local volume/folder and publish to it. The internet web service pointed to this location. I didn't have to have FTP services running to publish (unless I wanted to work outside my local network). I have read some posts and answers that have me worried I only be able to publish via FTP. The issue is, I don't want FTP services ON in my server. Of course, I can keep the port closed in my firewall (hardware device). Can someone please explain if FTP MUST be used to publish. Thank you, Carl Last edit 8 years ago |

Publish to a folder. It's in the FAQ. http://billing.ragesw.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=173 And from the Manual : Quote: Once logged in, you can click on your website name to bring up the Publishing Settings.
Under the Publishing heading, you can choose to publish to your EverWeb Hosting account, to a local folder or to a third party FTP server. |

Thank you. That sounds like a YES on the local folder publishing. :) (haven't looked at manuals yet, so thanks a lot) | |
