Landing page in mobile devise aligns to left rather than centre

Have published revised website, which loads okay on PC but when viewing on mobile devices the landing page aligns to the left of the screen rather than in the center. I don't know what causes this and would like to know if and how I can fix it. Any ideas welcome. Thanks. |

Like most EW users, you make statements instead of providing factual information. So I have to guess what the problem is. In your desktop browser, display the page and do Select All. Most likely the Facebook widget sticks out to the right of the page content. It's a recurring problem and can easily be solved by RageSW. A temp solution is to add this code to the Header Code Box of the page : <style> div.container {overflow:hidden;} </style> |

@RageSW Even if the FB widget isn't the problem, solve it anyway : Add this to the iframe style : width:{!-$WIDTH-!}px; |

Adding "overflow:hidden" to the container div may seem like a good idea to someone with a limited knowledge of CSS but is not a sensible solution. I did create a modified the FB widget a while back but the link seems to be lost. I have since updated it with adjustable sizing and the option to add padding, a border, border radius and box shadow. Thank you both for prompt responses. I'm unsure how to proceed. The facts I know are: ~ website has published okay ~ website displays okay and all are centered on a PC screen ~ when viewed on mobile devices the front page views as being aligned to the left of screen - all other pages are centered ~ I haven't yet done any mobile specific pages ~ I haven't used the FB widget - yet! ~ have checked select all - front page and all objects are centered - I don't detect anything out of place ~ I have limited knowledge re web coding and learning as I go - case in point: I don't know where to put this code - width:{!-$WIDTH-!}px; ~ ? |
