separating my mobile and full sites into two different projects ?

I get a dialog box when trying to publish sub site directory to main site, asking if I want to over write the existing site.!
I said no and it will not publish, should I say yes?!

If a Yes/No question is too difficult to solve, use a foldername that doesn't exist on the server.

what your saying is that if I rename the folder to a name not anywhere on the server then it will be recognized as a new directory and not another site ?

Renamed and got same Question? Yeah, Yes/No question is important, this dialog box has not been mentioned in this conversation. Tried publishing whole site, and just changes, same question!

now after not overwriting files I opened project file and pages missing, lots of pages missing, the only thing I did was take all pages and put them in directory folder and published . The next time I opened project file half the pages generated yesterday and available upon opening file this morning are gone! I checked thru c-panel and they are on server! Help.

Well got pages back ( thanks to Paul and super support) and need to publish but if I say yes to overwriting site with one sub, what happens when I go to publish second sub and it ask me to overwrite again?
does anybody know? I can go back to three different sites one main and two subs with redirect code if there is no answer to this question, or duplicate and say yes to overwrite and see what happens! while I have duplicates!

You are not overwriting existing sub folders the first time you upload the files. You are uploading new ones. Each section of the site is a separate sub folder and visitors are directed to the appropriate one by the code in the index.html file which is in the root folder.

After that, you upload changes/additions to any particular sub folder by entering its name into the publishing settings.

I keep forgetting the restrictions on uploading to the EverWeb server. To upload the index.html file as a redirect you should probably create a new site with one lbank page which contains the redirect. This is your main site and the sections - full site, tablet and smart phone - are sub sites in their own sub folders.

Explain that to Rage tech support and ask them the best way to do it.

Thanks Roddy I went back to old way except now mobile project is all mobile and full is only full, will try again after monthly update today. Site working well now but linking will be easier with one divided site verse 2 subsites and 1 main and faster load.
