Viewing Opacity does not work?

Opacity does not work?

User: Rob C. 10 years ago
I created a rectangle in a color green but I want to make very light. So I put opacity on 4%. Seems to work fine in the program exept when I (try-out) preview in Safari. Then the color is 100% green as grass again.
Is this a bug?

You can use a widget like the one shown on THIS page.

The Scroll FX demo shows different types of transparent objects.

Thanks for your answer, Roddy. I now realise I should have used the word 'opacity' instead of 'transparency'. (Just editted it)
I tried it with text and 'opacity' seems to work.
I am new to Everweb but is the conclusion that opacity does not work with coloured shapes and I should buy widgets to make it work?

In web design CSS is used to style objects. CSS uses opacity which is kind of the opposite of transparency. When the opacity of an object is set to zero it becomes transparent.

On the other hand, the default background of a div is transparent if you don't specify a background color or image.

Thanks again Roddy, but this is not what I mean. Must be my English ;-)
I'll open a new ticket and put my question in other words.

Just found out that it seems to be a bug. Opacity cannot be used (when Previewing...!) in values lower than 5 %. With 4% or lower it turns out in 100%...
If this is the case with real pblishing I don't know. I'm not ready for publicing at the moment.
