Instagram widget?

User: Carrie C. 8 years ago
any chance RAGE software will develop an Instagram widget? If there already is one that I'm not seeing (version 1.7.5), please let me know.

Sure, we can look into adding an Instagram widget.

any update on when an everweb widget for instagram will exist?

Here is a beta version of an Instagram widget that you can use:

I have installed the widget. It comes with the link to the main IG account. But when I paste my own account, nothing appears but a blank widget. Any help?
User: James G. 7 years ago
Thomas, did you publish the site after adding the widget? If not, try that. Some things need to be published to be seen correctly, other things do not.

I had thought of developing an "Instagram"© widget to allow embedding a feed in EverWeb until I read this...

"Instagram Platform and documentation update. Apps created on or after Nov 17, 2015 will start in Sandbox Mode and function on newly updated API rate-limits and behaviors. Prior to going Live, and being able to be used by people other than the developers of the app, these apps will have to go through a new review process. Please read the API documentation or the Change Log for more details.

Any app created before Nov 17, 2015 will continue to function until June 2016. After June 2016, the app will automatically be moved to Sandbox Mode if it wasn't approved through the review process. The previous version of our documentation is still available here."

I also couldn't think of a name since their conditions state this...

"You cannot use "insta", "gram" or "Instagram" in your company or product name."

@Roddy, I don't think that is for embedding the HTML for instagram in your website but I may be mistaken if you can show me where you read that.

Hey Paul! Thanks for your help! But it is still not working http://www.thomasphoto.io

The link you sent about embedding is about embedding IG specific posts. I am looking into the option to embed the feed! any clues on why the widget may not be working? It´s actually so simply I don´t get why it would´t work!

After doing some searching about instagram feeds, I found an article that talked about the changes instagram is doing to their feeds, and why I think things need to go through them. They are changing how their feeds work. Things won't necessarily feed 'in time' like most feeds. They are changing to a 'popular' feed type, where some things will be fed first, and others may not get fed at all(?). It seems to me that when they talk about '70% of things posted don't get seen by the people that need to see them', it really means- 'our bottom line is being affected by the accounts that are trying to sell things and are upset that a portion of users don't see them'.
It is odd to me that instagram would not provide an easy way to get a code to embed a feed like every other major social platform does; which leads me to believe they have had legal issues regarding images outside of instagram.

Yes, more or less what I have found too! Just realised that the widget was for specific photos too!

Well, I hope there is some way to do it! Thanks anyhow!

Hey guys I found something that can kind of help out for the time being... check out https://snapwidget.com you can make your own twitter and instagram widgets | copy the html code | use HTML Snippet Widget to inject code. It has it limitations but may work for you. Any way we can make this compatible` for EW Paul, Roddy?
User: James G. 7 years ago
David, if you use the snapwidget, keep using it and report back during June/July if it keeps working correctly. It looked to me like a lot of widgets will cease to work at that time.
