It just says the image is not there. Have you tried going to File->Publish Entire Site?

just want to change the one pagehate to have to post the entire site again as there are music players, etc. that take a bit to reload. I change pictures on this site quite a lot and have not run into this before, which is why i thought there must be a different problem...
the picture does show on the published page on my desktop. the site changes uploaded are: ew_css, everweb_assets-...,ew_siteinfo.xml, and index.html. Are there any others missing to update just the page?

When I look at it, at the countdown part I see what looks like a red 45 but with a small hole in middle

So you are publishing to a folder and then to FTP?

Or do you mean it shows up in Preview?

I honestly don't know the answer to your question. It could be a server caching issue, which you would have to resolve with your web hosting provider, or it is just as simple as that image not being published for some reason.

You can try making a small change to that page and publishing again. That may fix it.

Hi Paul,

Publishing to a folder, then uploading. Publishing the entire site over again worked yesterday. That seemed a bit extreme to change just one photo. Today I deleted that photo and put another one in its place, and got the same broken / missing jpg result. All the text changes worked fine. The jpg shows up as intended in the published folder on my desktop. The photo above it shows up fine. ew_css, everweb_assets-...,ew_siteinfo.xml, and index.html. Are there any others files or folders ncessary to update just that page?

Hi Paul,
...and the answer is to publish site changes, then upload those changed files PLUS the images folder. No need to republish the entire site (whew!) Thanks for all your help - it pointed me in the right direction.

Why don't you publish directly to FTP? EverWeb takes care of all of this for you...

We are using the music box player with pictures, which I understand will not publish direct to FTP. So each time we publish the entire site it wipes out the folders for the music players. We have to keep backups of the music player folders so they can be replaced in the event the entire site gets republished. This doesn't happen if just the changes are are updated. So you see, it's easier to publish only the site changes (plus the images folder, if necessary).
All in all, I LOVE working with EverWeb ! You have an incredible support team and great customer service -- thank you!

Are you using a third party widget?

Publishing through EverWeb to FTP doesn't remove anything from the server, even if you publish your entire site.

It sounds like you are just adding a few extra steps that aren't needed, unless I am misunderstanding.

we are using the Music Box MP3 Playlist Player - an Everweb html5 widget. This widget works well for us as we have a different picture with each track and the "buy" button. Instructions with the widget:
"Audio MP3 Playlist Player
The player uses a java script playlist which needs to be created
using a text editor in plain text mode and then pasted into the
widget settings.
The assets are contained in a folder dragged into the
published website folder from the Finder. Therefore this player
cannot be created if publishing to the EverWeb server."

This player works GREAT, but does remove the folders that were dragged into the published website when the entire site is published. It's pretty easy to replace them and re-upload, but just easier to simply publish site changes rather than the whole site as this leaves the music files intact. I believe if we were using one of the more simple mp3 players we would be able to publish direct. But this one is drop dead elegant, and well worth the effort.
