When I make a hyperlink and select "open in new window" it publishes with opening in the same window. No matter if I continue to change it to "open in new window" and re-publish.....it continues to publish by making the hyperlinks open in the same window as opposed to a new window.

Are you linking to an external page or to a page on your website?

Do you mind sending a screenshot of your hyperlink settings for this link? You can take a screenshot by holding down the COMMAND and SHIFT keys on your keyboard and then pressing the number 3. An image file will appear on your desktop, please send that to me. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

I know. I'm saying when i select it and then publish it it doesn't work. The screenshot is what it looks like after I select the box, save it and then reopen easy web. It wont save and will not publish correctly. I have changed it several times and reuploaded, so I know by trial that it wasn't a one time thing. There are other links on my site and all of them won't open in new windows even though I checked the box labeled "open in new window". I hope I am making sense.

Now that I went through my whole site and tested each hyperlink live, I find that only some do not open in new window, while others do open in new window.

Instead of highlighting the link, click the link so that the blinking cursor is within your linked text. Then enable the Open in new window checkbox. Let me know if it works now. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Does it take a while for Google to update website info? The reason I ask, and I am not sure if this is a bug or not, is I had my temporary, one page site up and on the page description I wrote COMING SOON and that our site was UNDER CONSTRUCTION. This information appeared in google search as well as the top of the page when the site was displayed on the web. Well, this morning I uploaded the full site, which has a completely different page description on the home page but google still has the old, temporary description of my site when I search for it. Also, when I tried to post the address on our facebook page, it appeared as the old site with the old description. Like I said, I am not sure if this is a bug or what but the info isn't updated and I have had the site active since 8 am today. Thanks in advance for listening to my rambling. I would have posted this in the "bug" section but i wasnt sure. Thanks again

Hey paul, I figured out through some trial and error that the fix for the "new window" hyperlink works but when you save and exit Easyweb, and then go back into easyweb , any word that I made hyperlinks revert back to having the box "open in new window" unselected and I have to change it back each time i change something. It seems to be that saving the "open in new window" on TEXT has a bug because the rest of my images that have the "open in new window" box selected are saved and when reopened they still have it selected.....it is only text hyperlinks that won't save. My workaround is to change it back every time i change something and wish to publish.
