There is a common problem with referral spam in Google Analytics. Referral Spam is when a website pretends to visit your website many times so it appears in your analytics. Then you click it to see why you are getting so much traffic for this particular site. This helps drive traffic to this spam website. It can really effect your Google Analytics reports so I wrote up a tutorial on how to stop referral spam in Google Analytics. Also, for EverWeb + Hosting customers in version 1.9 we will also block referral spam from being able to even connect with your website. This should help block referral spam from other stats including the built in stats provided by your EverWeb + Hosting account. However, since some referral spam doesn't even need to visit your site, it is not a fool proof solution. The above article is recommended to implement if you are using Google Analytics.
