Hi Roddy I have a suggestion for the lightbox widgets, the lightbox gallery widget is by far the best widget in Everweb if you ask me. But since I'm trying to make more advanced sites there are still many things that can be improved. I don't like and don't use the standard Everweb gallery widget. Instead I'm using the lightbox gallery I would love to see a third upload field for a mouse over image so that we can make all the pictures for example black and white and when you go over the image with the mouse it can pop the color and maybe with a fade if possible. And maybe a selection for a mouse over color filter with density instead of a mouseover image. With something like this Everweb will feel a bit more like a good wordpress theme. I think that many of us will use a feature like this in Everweb. I hope that it is possible to update the widgets like this. Last edit 8 years ago |

Hover effects can be added to the lightbox thumbs like this example which has a transparent color overlay added and a CSS transition applied to the hover to change the opacity and add a box shadow. Hover effects are not so useful now that a large and growing percentage of visitors are visiting the full site using tablet devices. I am working on a new set of widgets for touch devices and one of these is a gallery since the lighbox gallery - and the EverWeb Gallery - are no use for mobile devices. Thanks I look forward to your new widgets. I will appreciate it if you will update the lightbox widgets for use on a full site. I see that you added a blue filter, can you make it that we can choose all all colors or the most common colors. |

I havev just updated the demo page with simple opacity change and a black and white to color transition. The color effect is created using a transparent overlay. Can you change one thing about this widget and it will be perfect and the best gallery widget. I would like to see that the images fit in the view like on the normal lightbox gallery widget. With this lightbox gallery FX widget big pictures don't fit on the screen so you can't see the whole image and you have to scroll through a big image. |

The version of the widget that I am using limits the image to 90% of the viewport. Perhaps you have a different one?
