Everweb site not working with older versions of IE

User: Jon R. 10 years ago
Hi Folks

Just wondering if anyone could help with this. My site functions fine on all browsers except some older version of IE it seems. The tabs at the top of each page linking to other pages won't function other than, it seems, the contact page. Is there anything simple that I could do to remedy this as I've had several potential clients in the last week comment on this. My site is as follows -

www.wedding-videos-uk.com

Thanks

Jon

I don't know about MSIE, but the vimeo code you use on your pages is no longer supported :

<!-- This version of the embed code is no longer supported. Learn more: https://vimeo.com/s/tnm -->

Use the new share code.

There are several widgets for inserting Vimeo - straight or using a lightbox via a text or image link - and one for inserting them with a description for SEO.

Unfortunately, anybody who is using an old version of IE - or using IE at all - probaly doesn't have the flash player plugin installed and perhaps even has javascript turned off.

Visitors who are using anything lower than IE 10 are going to have a poor experience on most sites. Any time I come across a PC running windows I install Chrome and the owners never look back. Perhaps your visitors are in the corporate or educational environment where they have no control over the software?

You could have links like the ones shown HERE but why waste space on the 0.06% who are living in the dark ages?

I can't see any reason why your links shouldn't work in any browser.
