I cannot make text a hyperlink to an external page, If you go here: http://www.asistersheart.com/index.html The words "Our Etsy Shop" at the bottom of navigation menu (I just put it in separate from nav menu because I can't add a link into my nav bar that isn't one of my pages) - it is a separate text box. I've deleted it and started over...but it just doesn't link...and the same goes with the bold link at the bottom of the first paragraph. They were working until I updated some things this evening...now I can't make them work. |

Home and Fundraising are in a menu widget. Our Etsy Shop is a separate link (Why not part of the menu). The menu widget is covering the Etsy link, save for a small part on the left. Note that the menu widget will always be on top of other objects. Make the height of the widget less so it does not cover the Etsy link. Although the picture appears to show the image on top of the Etsy link, it is actually behind it.

I also noticed that there are FOUR Etsy links. Usually one is enough :

I don't have Etsy as part of my menu because it is a separate page, not hosted on my website. Is there a way to do that inside the widget? If so I would love to do that. I am linking to separate specific pages on my Etsy shop - thus the multiple links... I think the widget was covering my link up there...but why is the text link in the body not working? |

To make a link in the menu widget direct to an external page, use the code on this page. http://tahafut.hol.es/target/ Add an empty etsy page to the menu, then change the $target and $destination variables with the pagename and the Etsy URL. Or instead of using a menu widget, you can add the two links to the same textbox as the Etsy link. If you look at the <a href> links (actually five, sorry) you'll see they link to the same page. "why is the text link in the body not working?" I explained that. The menu widget is covering the Etsy link (textbox). |

Thanks for the help on getting the page into my nav menu! I think I didn't explain my second problem well. When I said that the text wasn't working in the "body" - I was referring to the link that is about halfway down the page...at the end of the first big paragraph. It isn't anywhere near the widget - but it also does not link or show the mouse over. I appreciate your assistance! |
