| I'm trying to create drop down menus for nav bar. Built all pages, saved nav for last. Instructions look like it wants me to add the pages to directory before I build them. How do I add the existing pages to sub directory? | |

You can just drag and drop your pages into the directory.

| Thanks so much for quick reply. I thought that's what I tried to do. Following the instructions, I hit add directory, and dragged existing page "to" that. Just rearranged order. Guess I'm not understanding what "directory" means, e.g. what to do with the new page it asks you to create when you hit that add directory. Sorry, not very web page savvy. | |

You don't need to create that page because you are dragging existing one into the directory folder to populate ut.

| OK, I'm getting it. Now just having a little trouble with some folders ending up as sub directory; I can get them out if I drag them up above the first one (after home) but if I drag down to where I want it to be in order, it goes back as sub. Also, some of the pages in drop down are getting a "2" in front of title. And what's appropiate way to handle a menu title that only has one page (biography)? I see it listing in nav bar but it's got a "2" in front. | |

To get a directory out of another directory you need to drag it hard left until you see the separator line move slightly to the left. Easier to do than describe! When you duplicate a directory or a page EverWeb will add a 2 to the file name since you can have two with the same name. Double click the name and change to whatever you want. Note that the page or directory file name is not the same as the page/directory name in the navigation menu. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | OK, one more thing. I'm running into trouble with spacing, color background on the nav bar. I set spacing to 0 so there would be solid color across, but am finding that causing problems with equal spacing of menu titles. Increasing the spacing seem to be what produces proper spacing, but leaves spaces between color background. Am I missing something or do I just insert a colored shape behind it? | |
