I know that PayPal can be used in EverWeb, but I like Stripe (http://www.stripe.com) much more. Their instructions (https://stripe.com/docs/tutorials/checkout) are hard to understand for EverWeb users. Is there anyway Stripe could be built-in to EverWeb (like PayPal), or a third party widget be made?

Stripe looks like a good option for those who are familiar with code and have ecommerce sites with a six figure plus turnover. The downside is that, apart from the extra expense of requiring an SSL certificate, potential purchasers are going to be suspicious of a new (to them) payment system unless they are dealing with a well established retailer. For a small business, PayPal is easier to set up and can be integrated with many different carts and delivery sytems. Just about everybody knows PayPal and will trust their card details to it. Not so much with over systems like Stripe. I would advise using PayPal until the business is nationally known and the turnover is high enough to to make the saving in PayPal commisions a wothwhile amount. PayPal is her to stay - unlike some other systems like Google Checkout! ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | PayPal unfortunately is here to stay, but the next year will be a nightmare for them and their customers | |
