Contact form doesn't work

User: Pamela V. 8 years ago
I tried to test out my newly published sites's contact form, and it didn't send me the info. That means, if people enter info on the contact form, it gets lost. This is a big problem, folks. Any suggestions?

I suppose Gmail falls under the "free mail" category, which is why it isn't working? That is the only email account I use. In the meantime, I will check with my web host.

You can easily crate an email for your website and route it through gmail, that might work for you

Thanks, Jim. I actually am using a Gmail account already for the contact form. And it didn't work. Has Gmail worked for you?

I do not use Contact Forms, my site has no need for it. Instead I created a jpeg that has the email written out long form- infoatgooglelandusadotcom. I did it that way so as not to be read by bots or any people not able to understand it. I really do not want to hear from others much. If I were using a Contact Form, I would most likely create an email for the site, through the site, and use that, but route it through gmail so I can access it anywhere.
I have that email routed through to my gmail account.
If you create an email through the site and route it through gmail; I cannot see why it would not work. When someone fills it out and hits 'send', it should be sent to the mail server, then be redirected to the gmail server and come out in the gmail account linked to it.

I will add that it takes about 10-15 minutes to route through to my gmail. Keep that in mind if you decide to go this way. Wait a little longer for the email to come through before getting annoyed

You are using two forms on the same page with different destination email addresses.

Yes, the first contact form is to sign a free subscription of a newspaper. The second one is to contact the company.

I have the same problem, the contact form email doesn't arrive. I have checked the troubleshooting note mentioned above and still no joy, I'm using 1and1 as email host, I've triple checked the email address I'm using, I've used three different email addresses all 1and1 based and no joy. The form is at
