Viewing Everweb Moblie Works on iPhone but not on iPad

Everweb Moblie Works on iPhone but not on iPad

User: Kevin S. 8 years ago
I created a site that looks good on my home computers and my iPhone but one page still has everything unaligned when viewed on my iPad.

How I created the page:
I duplicated one page (the only one that wasn't aligned on the mobile devices) and set it up using 780 as a width. I moved everything around to fit then set it up as a "mobile" version and redirected it. Apparently the redirect is working because the page now looks good on my iPhone but not on my iPad.

Any ideas??

I believe ipad natively displays desktop sites, not mobile. But your mobile page is 780 wide? If you have not tried it, try clearing the cache on ipad browser. Can you post the url?

I did try clearing the cache on the iPad ... still off.

Here's the url: www.kmichaelsband.com

It looks the same as desktop version on my IPad - looks fine to me, all properly aligned...

Did you look at the "Shows" page? That's the one I'm having issues with .... All the others look fine.
Sorry - I should have said that in my previous post with the url

It's bad practice to align text with spaces.

You use a lot of spaces.

And since spaces are not created equal, you get different results.

Best solution is to use a table for tabular information.

But as EW does not provide this, and other, basic feature, you have to find another solution.

You are right, it is all messed up....You should make vertical columns and align those....And it is better to use the same size font which will assure that the spaces are equal.

It's starting to make sense ..
1) I started from scratch on that page and removed all erratic spaces. The only spaces are what you see. - As you can see, it's still bad
2) All of the text on the other pages is in Text Boxes - no problem
I'll try vertical columns as suggested or text boxes
Thanks

Issue Solved!

I tried using vertical columns, one for Dates one for Address and another for Links but still couldn't get things lined up as close as I wanted. I then went the extra mile and created a separate text box for each Date, Address and Link. I lined them all up using View Layout and things are looking good.

For anyone interested in seeing the final layout of the Shows page, here's the web link to my site www.kmichaelsband.com

Thanks for all of your help!

I forgot to add that I didn't have to create a Mobile Version of the Shows page either. All pages are set at 980 width.
