| If I chose "Add Directory" from the icon at the bottom, it correctly creates a new directory. However, if I choose from the top, File->New Directory, it creates a page instead of a directory. | |

| What version are you using? I am using latest stable build, and actually have the opposite issue. If I create a Directory from the bottom of the window, I get a page and need to convert to Directory. If I use the top- file way, I get a Directory. | |

I believe the issue only happens the first time you use this function after launching AND only if you have never created a regular page. It is fixed in 1.8.

| I have the same issue. I bought the stand-alone, and every time I try to create a new directory, it brings me to a blank page that says "Press the add page button to add new pages to your directory." In the tutorial, it says that this first director page will show up on my website...I sure hope not! | |

| Paul, with me using the Create Directory from the bottom, It does not matter whether there are pages already made. I have 2 pages, if I click Create Directory from bottom, it makes a page; if I click it again it makes a directory. Leaving a page and a directory to deal with | |

@Pamela: You are not having the same issue. This is a different issue and is working as expected. To learn more about this see this blog post on directory behaviour changes in 1.7. @Jim: Just to clarify I meant that in an earlier version of EverWeb if you press the 'Add Directory' button BEFORE you ever press the 'Add Page' button whenever you launch EverWeb you'll get a Page instead of a directory. I cannot recall right now when this bug was fixed, it could have been in 1.8 so that could explain these issues. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
