Viewing 1.8 BETA: Fix on scroll Problem

1.8 BETA: Fix on scroll Problem

User: Patrick H. 11 years ago
Hi,

I'm using the latest version of EverWeb (BETA 1.8.0 Build: 1381) and have a problem with the new "fix on scroll" function.
When I activate the function for an object, it automatically aligns to the left side of the Editor. I tried to drag the objects back to the position from the beginning, but when I preview my website, all of them are back aligned to the left side.

Maybe you're able to solve that problem.

Thanks, Patrick.

It's not a bug, it's a feature.

It is supposed to do that.

If you want to create a 100% wide fixed header there is a widget to make it easy.

Roddy, what would be the reason to use your widget now?

Version 1.8 supports this feature using the new full width option and the fixed position option.

The widget was developed prior to V 1.8 and has the advantage of using CSS rather than an image for creating the color gradient.

Its seems that some users are having problems with the full width, fixed object as in this topic and most of those who have purchased the widget since V1.8 beta came out had tried and failed to achieve the result they wanted using the EverWeb method.

Creating a full width fixed header requires that the objects in it are fixed too. When these are fixed they jump to the left. Perhaps a tutorial video showing how to create a 100% wide header with all its content - h1 heading, navigation etc - fixed will make the widgets redundant?
