Viewing Slide show transition on mobile device

Slide show transition on mobile device

User: Steve 8 years ago
Still have a problem with the image slider widget.
I created a slide show in 1.8b12 the transparent background is nice, but the type of transition chosen doesn't seem to work with safari or chrome on the iPhone. Even though the (fade) transition works fine on my laptop but it shows as a push to the left on the phone.

Any ideas?

Steve

Not for your issue in particular, but 1.8 is a Beta release. Maybe fixed in 1.8b13. 1.7 is the latest fully stable build.

Same issue here. On the mobile version of my site goldierush.com the transitions slide instead of fade. This is with Safari on the iPhone. Everything is set to fade in Everweb and I've tried rearranging slides to update it. It was working fine before the update. Would you happen to know a fix? Thanks, Patrick.

Sliders designed for finger swiping on mobile devices use a slide transition - not fade.
Slliders which advance using a finger tap can have a fade transition. The minimal slider is an example of one that uses 50% of the screen for the back/forward tap targets and transitions via fade..

It worked perfect on 1.7.5. Now the fade is gone. The slider is an autoplay slider without 'enlarge image'. No need to swipe. The pages are not mobile pages. EW, can this be fixed?

Roddy,
I changed the sliders with the 'minimal slider' widget. Works very good!
Unfortunately I had no choice, but I understand. Thx for the support.

I'm not sure. I will look into it though.

@Paul
do you already have a solution for this?

@Roddy
The 'minimal slider' works perfect but can't be used as a full width slider. Do you have another one?

@ Raf - Email me and I will send you a version of the Minimal Slider which has been updated with the Full Width control.

I still have to create a few more sliders for the FLEX widgets but the Caption Banner that is used on the demo site swipes on touch devices and can also be set to autoplay and have the pager dots disappear on narrrower screens.

The problem seems to be fixed in EW1.9 but I never use a beta version to publish. In the mean while I use Roddy's 'minimal slider' and it works perfect. Only, the slider has no transparent background.

It's the container which holds the image title and description which has a solid background. Contact me and I will send you a version with a control to vary the opacity of it.
