Viewing HTML Widget Positioning

HTML Widget Positioning

User: Roddy 10 years ago
I've mentioned this in another topic but I have pinned this down to the fact that EasyWeb can't seem to position multiple HTML Widgets.

The first two work OK but after that, no matter what I try, when I add one or two more, the positioning on the published page goes to hell in a hand basket - as they say in this part of the world.

Here's an example where all the Widgets should be stacked one on top of the other and centered on the page...

Obviously, they show as being in the correct position in EW.

Can you post a screenshot of what it looks like in EasyWeb?

Note that the background image doesn't show in EasyWeb due to the fact that the image URL is in the setup java script and the EW syntax for an image URL stops it working. The image is therefore hosted on another server and referenced with an absolute URL.

I deleted one of the objects created using an HTML Widget to simplify things.

This is how it publishes...

... and this is it fixed - post publishing...

The element with the background image seems to be positioned relative to the one with the transparent background. When I move the top one, by changing the coordinates in WebDesign, the bottom one moves with it.
