Viewing Corrupt Images

Corrupt Images

Hello,

I have problems updating my website, every time i make changes to a page on my site and click to "publish site changes" my webpage appears with corrupt images.
To see the correct version of the page go to http://www.redpenwriters.com (english home page). Then to compare this with the corrupt version of the page see attachment 1 "Corrupt site"

This problem has only occurred recently and as i am publishing my site to a folder i have been able to compare the files in the folder before and after i make the changes to the page.
The only change that i have made is to add a shape to the page (file name: shape_1.png and the same shape also created shape_1@2x.png).

However, if you see the screenshots i have attached of the image files in the page's image folder you can see that many of them have changed. There are changes in size and also images which were not previously present in the original file. Compare attachment 2 "Corrupt page images" with attachment 3 "Correct page images".

I have tried all possible publishing methods (secure, passive, and all possible combinations) but nothing works. I continually have to revert to my backup and essentially i am unable to make changes to my website's pages without the images becoming corrupt as can be seen in the attached screenshots.
I have tried to publish the entire site to a new folder but the result is the same. It appears that once i make an alteration to the page the files become corrupt and when published my site looks a mess and not at all like it does when viewed in ever web or preview.
I have also deleted everything from my server and uploaded all the files again but it appears once i have made an alteration the page is ruined and all subsequent uploads of that page produce the same corrupt results.

Furthermore following the addition on the page of one shape the file size for the html file for the page changes from 32110 to 32308. This seems to me to be a very large jump in size for one shape.

I need to make regular changes to my site but this problem is preventing me from being able to make any changes at all. I would really appreciate help to resolve this asap.

Thanks

Andrew

(PS. i am publishing to a folder and using filezilla to publish my site because i encountered constant problems with the ever web ftp publishing service. Publishing always stopped with the error message "can't open data connection". I have looked on filezilla help sites and have tried to follow their advice for similar problems but without success.)

I am having this same issue. I'm using the Shapes feature to draw some dotted lines "connecting" various widgets on my website; for whatever reason, some of them aren't showing up once I publish. They function/show up properly when I publish to my local folder and view from there, but once I upload to FTP and visit the actual site, they are broken/corrupt. Did you ever sort out a solution to this?

That must be a lot of shapes if you are creating dotted lines with them?
Here is a link to widgets Roddy made to make various lines and shapes, they may work out better

A few things to check;

1. Make sure your web hosting provider is not caching your pages in anyways. Contact them to find out ( we do not). If it works when you publish to a folder but not online, that can be the issue/

2. Empty your own browser cache and reload your website
