The only thing I hear is crickets.

Hello, Any progress?
When will the BLOG feature be finally added?
You know how long I use the software, you know how long I am waiting for the feature...
I remind you that your answer a few years back was "soon".

Hi Ana,

When we have additional information we will post it here. It is a complex project. I apologize for the wait. We want to add the blog as badly as you want to use it.

We are making good progress but we cannot announce a release date yet.

Hallo, again is my question, are there any new information about the blog feature in EverWeb?
Do you have anything?
If you need someone to test that feature - i can do so, no problem - i would love to see if it works or not :)
It is really a loooong time since you said that the blog feature will be added, some of us bought the license also because of that feature and we are waiting so long.
i can only speak for myself but pls give us the blog feature, a serious website has a blog - and i am not willing to make the blog as your video from a few years ago shows it - manually... no!
More than a year ago you were informing us that you are working still on it and that we will be informed - but i do not really see that you inform us in any way - except if someone specifically asks about it.
Can you give us a date? Will it be this year added? YES, NO?
Maybe ask someone who can add this feature to the software? I am waiting now about 3 years for that feature - back than you told me it will be soon. You know that i want that feature, you know what you told me, and I think that in 3 years someone should have added that to the software... so ... when will it be?
hope to read you soon

I was a beta tester for this program back when it was called EasyWeb (whenever that was...2011?2012? I don't remember) and they were saying a blogging feature was "soon." I've googled and found forum discussion on here going back to at least 2013 saying the blogging feature was soon and was the next thing they were working on. Out of desperation for the constant glitches in iWeb, I finally bought the program in early 2015 foolishly believing the staff then when they said it was going to be soon... so don't hold your breath until they actually give a date for when it's going to be released. Notice that Roland's post was ignored days ago.

Dead silence, suitable for speculation.

- They are unable to develop this blog, promised for years.
- The new version is on the way without the blog. (IWeb was too high target)
- No news is good news.

The absent are always wrong.

I'm going for c. ... it will be good news!

I'm not sure but i think that Paul and the team are non vacation.
I completely agree with 'Ana F' it's now been a very long time with no new information coming forward.
Several times I have posted out of frustration in this thread asking the same questions as you all and any response I may get always avoids answering the questions I have asked.

I just wish they would give us an honest answer to put this issue to bed once and for all. They must realise this is now impacting the EW future as people are not prepared to renew their subscriptions until this is resolved.

I haven't come on here to bitch about EW I think it's a great app with a lot of promise. The third party developers are producing some really powerful widgets to enhance the EW portfolio. I personally BETA test for one of the developers and must say the quality and effort from the community is encouraging,

However the EW team need to man up and answer the questions you are all asking and stop avoiding the real questions.

1) is a blog actually in development?
2) what is holding this up as its now been a considerable amount of time now?
3) when can we (honestly) expect to see this feature added? This year? Next year? The year after?

You really need to quote these questions individually Paul and co and give honest answers to each as this is the only way the community will understand what's going on!. If you can't develop it then fine, you tried but be honest rather than the total silence the community is receiving.

Remember these are your customers (potential long term customers) treat them with the honesty and respect they deserve.

It's a great app with a lot of potential but this is REALLY LETTING YOU DOWN NOW! Perhaps ask your community of developers to create something for you.

Hi All,

I am sorry for the delay in the response here. I will have an announcement about the blogging feature in the next few days. I can tell you, I am certainly not on vacation, nor is anyone else on our team.

Here are the answers to your questions;

Yes, it is the top priority right now.

2) what is holding this up as its now been a considerable amount of time now?

We wanted to have a platform that lets you blog from anywhere. Most of the work for that is complete but its means that we need to plan ahead for it and make sure anything we implement initially will work with our future system.

We tried 3 or 4 different ways and finally found a proper way to do it now. Because of how many options EverWeb provides it has been extremely difficult to get it right and working with all of EverWeb's features.

3) when can we (honestly) expect to see this feature added? This year? Next year? The year after?

We already have a few users beta testing the blogging feature. We will be rolling it out in phases. We hope before the end of the summer, if not sooner.

Again, I am very sorry for the delay with blogging and thank you all for staying with EverWeb!

Paul fantastic news and very encouraging. I personally can't wait to see how this unfolds.

One question, I'll I need to subscribe to your hosting for the feature? Only asking as my hosting contract is up in august
User: Paul-RAGESW 7 years ago
We will have a version that works with non EverWeb sites but we are working on a version that will provide more features and a better experience with EverWeb + Hosting. I do recommend you switch if your other hosting is expiring.

This motivated me – I bit the bullet and switched today – and was pleasantly surprised at the extent of credit given in the upgrade. Now suffering the seemingly interminable wait for the Name Server switch to take effect (no email came, got them by signing in). I'll worry about moving domains after this part settles in. One note in switching from iPower – iPower likes active transfers / EverWeb passive for unproblematic uploads.

Hi Paul,

When you said "I will have an announcement about the blogging feature in the next few days." how many days?

Merci.
