I was hoping there would be a resolution for the problem discussed in THIS thread in EW 1.8 before its final release. I have one site which has over 20 folders of assets. If I want to make a change to this site which involves publishing the entire site, I need to remove all theses assets temporarily before I can do so. If it is not possible to change this, perhaps there should be a warning notice to the effect that publishing the entire site will delete any files/folders that are not actually created by EverWeb. I realise that this "improvement" was introduced for the benefit of those who publish to the EverWeb server. Like many other users, I cannot publish there because of its limitations and would happily do so if there was some means of uploading and maintaining folders of assets. Or perhaps an option to turn this feature on and off as needed???
