Viewing removing thumbnails from slide show

removing thumbnails from slide show

User: Kathryn Q. 11 years ago
Hi,
I have several photo album pages on my site. For each one, I use the basic image gallery widget. I set the preferences to NOT autoplay. When I go to the site and click on one (any) image, it brings up the photo in a larger format. The viewer can either examine just that one photo, or begin the slide show. (So far, so good.)
Now my problem: if I hover over the enlarged photo (or slide show), there appear to be mini thumbnails at the bottom of each photo. However, the thumbnails are blank. Not what I want to see. I want to either remove the thumbnails, or have them filled with actual photos.
How do I do that? Thanks!

I read this and tried it out and got the images as thumbnails.
Could your images be a large size that is not loading quickly? I did not see a way to remove the thumbnails.

Can you post the url to the site?

Hi Jim, here's the link. http://173.236.101.18/~bethany/photos/service-of-remembrance-2013.html

I do use fairly large sized photos, but the thumbnails do not load for me no matter how long I wait, nor do they load for a friend who is helping me test the site on another OS. Thanks for responding!

I am not positive about it, but it looks like you are using .png not .jpg. I do not know if that would produce this issue.
Can you create a new page and throw some of the same images into a gallery, but use .jpg instead and see if that works?

I'll try it and see. I don't know how the images could be .png, as I imported all of them straight from iPhoto. But I'll give it a go!

Attention to detail is very important.

The images display best with a dot at the end.

But since both are Portable Network Graphics, the extensions should be .png
