EW 1.8b9 Fix Position on Scroll in Footer

| If you have an object in the footer and set 'Fix position on scroll', the object just vanishes. This happens on Master Pages and in ordinary web pages. The fix position on scroll works fine if objects are in the header. | |

It doesn't dissapear it just shifts downwards by the y scroll position in pixels. Anyways, we are working on a fix for the next beta.

HI Paul Just had a text in b10 and yes it still looks as if its there. I see where it is with the co-ordinate positioning, but can't see it on screen as I can't scroll to it. Just Fyi as I know you are looking in to this still... |

This shouldn't be happening anymore to objects set to Fix position on scroll. Any object where you did this with a previous beta will not "come back" to it's original location. You'll have to do a select all and unselect all visit objects then delete the old object. We can't put in a real fix for this because it happened during the betas and won't be of any use moving forward. If you see this issue with new shapes added, please let me know. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Hi Paul Just tested this again in b12 and objects still scoot down the y axis when you use this option in a footer. Sometimes I have had success that the object sticks but most often not. Don't know if this is something worthwhile fixing in 1.8 unless there is a usage justification to do so.... |

Are these for new objects you have created or are they from projects where the object may have been created in an earlier beta? If the latter, then you should delete the object and recreate it. If the former than it is a bug. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

| I think it's a case of both, but I will try what you have suggested and report back... | |

Hi Paul Quick update... I just created a new project file in 1.8b12. i used the Home template to get a blank web page. Then I select the EverWeb logo in the footer and select Fix Position on Scroll. The EW Logo then scoots off to Y position 1757 from 1119. The X coordinate remains the same at 435. Hope that helps... |
