Viewing Asset Folders

Asset Folders

Is there any possibility of modifying the way in which EverWeb publishes to a local folder so that it doesn't delete folders of assets included in this folder.

Because of the limitation of not being able to add folders to the Assets list - or upload them to the EverWeb server - some of us have to publish to another server to do this thing. The introduction of this "feature" is a total pain as it deleted all the asset folders from three websites without me knowing about!

I can understand why this is seen as an improvement for those who publish to the EverWeb server since they cannot access it to upload assets or delete redundant files.

I have often thought about this problem with assets and wonder if it would be possible to add a folder upload drop box to the site publishing settings page which would solve a lot of problems and encourage more users to take advantage of the EverWeb hosting. This is what I mean by a drop box.

I'd have to look much more into this. But why not include a custom directory in another directory and not in the External files folder or any other folder that EverWeb creates?

Any folder added to the local root folder gets deleted by EverWeb when Publishe Entire Site is selected.
