A new beta version is available which can be downloaded from the link in the first post on this thread.

CHANGES
- Full width works with the html snippet, vimeo widget and the youtube widget
- New option in Arrange Menu -> Always On Top places the object over all other objects even if it is from a Master template. If you have multiple objects with this option set, the order comes from the bring to front, send to back etc... options. This is useful for having a navigation button on a master page always on top on the child pages
- Fixed problem with disabling 'Fix position on scroll' still allowing objects to be moved freely. If this continues to show the same issue, delete the object and re-add it. Old objects may still suffer from this issue.
- Setting the 'Fixed position on scroll' option no longer displaces the object
- Fixed a crash when using undo for any Shape Fill options
- Adjusting the browser background images properly redraws the image on the page background immediately
- Image previews in the Inspector now scale properly (for example for browser backgrounds or shape image fills)
- Fixed a crash with using Google Fonts

There is a new beta available (we have changed the status back to beta because of a last minute issue that needs to be fixed).

It includes a new option under Inspector->Metrics to allow for more control over Fixed positioned elements. You can download from the links in the original post here.

Please note that you may find the your full width objects and fixed positioned objects may need to be reset by simply reselecting these options for these objects under the Metrics tab.

You will see that 'Fixed position on scroll' is not called 'Fixed position' and a new option underneath called 'Relative to browser left'.

The second option is only applicable to 'Centered Layouts' (the default layout). This option means that as you resize the browser, the object will not move it's left position.

When this option is not selected, the object will move with the page margins.

Essentially with this option off, you can have a centered, fixed position item whereas when this option is on, the object will always be left aligned.

Here are two examples;
Only the 'Fixed position' option selected

Notice how the objects in the header move with the page as you resize it.

Both the 'Fixed position' and 'Relative to browser left' option selected

Notice how the objects do not move with the page as you resize.

These two options allow for a lot more flexibility in your designs.

Everweb keeps telling me i'm updated and 1.7.5 is the newest version. Is this incorrect?
User: Roddy 8 years ago
This section is for announcements only so, could you please post in another section in future.

V1.7.5 is the latest release version. There is a 1.8 beta version which can be downloaded from the link in the first post in this topic.

It's not advisable to use a beta version on a production website. Create a test site to try out the new features.
