While trying out the feature show here... http://patty.ragesw.com/~roddycom/windmill.html ... I found that I couldn't get rid of the page background when I select "none" in the page inspector. If you look at the source code you will see that I had to overwrite the background style in my own page styles with - body {background: none;} I did start with a black template blank page so maybe the background is carved in stone and can't be changed? ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! When you change background color to none the browser background options will show through. Is this not what happened to you? Is this only when you publish? ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

To add to the confusion, I'm using a background image that's hosted on another server so the browser background is black in EasyWeb. When I changed the page background to none, the published result had the browser background image and a black rectangle where the page content should have been. That's when I went back and added some CSS to overwrite the black background and it published OK. I'll try this whole thing again and add the image to the EasyWeb assets. There's a lot of things like this that I want to try but am waiting for the ability to add scripts to the assets folder. Backstretch is really easy to implement and only requires one line of code in the page footer code section along with a link to jQuery for the basic version. It also allows you to create a background that will auto change or is controlled by the user with not too much extra effort. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! I did a new page using just backstretch and cut out all the confusion of the CSS Keyframes. This is the demo page which explains the two ways I went about... http://patty.ragesw.com/~roddycom/backstretch.html Since what I know about javascript isn't worth knowing, I'm taking a wild guess at the cause of the problem and assuming that the javascript is not happy with the syntax used by easyWeb for the relative path to the image? ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! I see that the background: none option has disappeared in Beta 9.

There's no remove background feature in version 1.7 build:1338. that feature should of remained, it leaves us designers with one less feature we can capitalize on to create unique and distinctive site design. Now how do I go about removing the background? I'm redesigning a site and it requires no page background. Thanks |

Hi Stephanie, No background options were removed in version 1.7. Have you tried setting the background to just a white color? ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
