Image hover fade effects are achieved by varying the opacity. This can be done using CSS3 transitions or jQuery... http://everwebcodebox.com/widgetbox-demo/imageFade/ I am reluctant to make a widget for this as hovers are becoming redundant in web design due to the fact that they don't work on mobile devices.
