Website pages in my trash can?

User: Don B. 11 years ago
Before I emptied the trash this morning I decided to check to see what was there. It's full of html pages from my website. When EverWeb updates a website are the old pages dumped in the trash?

No, but were they in a folder called Recovered Files? Could be from your preview files if your computer had crashed or your restarted by holding down the power key.

Paul,

The folder has a very long number for a name 5862498DEF604E28BF2BE05D9D598574) and I have a second one with a dash after all those numbers with numbers following it (36398676.) I think this has happened in the past as well when I've emptied my trash without checking to see what was in it. When I told it to empty suddenly the trash was showing more than 1,000 files it was dumping. I have restarted the computer a few times recently as well.

My computer has been doing some strange things and Bitdefender did find and remove to pieces of AdWare from my hard drive. I'm not sure what is happening. As I mentioned in my other thread, I'm thinking of upgrading my iMac now before the one I have crashes for good.

I just thought it was strange when I saw all those webpage files in my trash can. The actual website, both in EverWeb and online, seems to be fine with nothing missing.

I noticed the same deal in my trash, I thought it was because I always mostly publish the entire site and not just changes. I include a screen shot.

Make sure when adding a screenshot that you press the Advanced button below the text field and attach the screenshot with the buttons on that page...
