Hello - I recently purchased the stand-alone version of Everweb. One question, though - does this version support using other browsers than Safari to preview my website? Can't seem to find any info on this. I am very happy to find Everweb since leaving iWeb and trying other sites! Thanks - KF Last edit 11 years ago |

Hi, Yes, do you have other browser's installed on your computer? Chrome, Opera, Firefox? ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

| Hi, Paul - Yes, Mozilla Firefox. And I would be willing to install the others. | |

The preview button should give you the option of viewing your site in all installed browsers such as Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari and the iOS Simulator.

Are these browsers in your Applications folder?

No, Paul, they are not in the Applications folder. I assume that is why they don't show up in Preview?! You mention Firefox, Chrome, Opera. Are there any others I should include? Last edit 11 years ago |

| I have successfully installed Firefox and Opera but get a message from Chrome saying something about not being able to read and write to its data directory my Users/Library, etc. | |

Hi Kathleen, What is the exact error message? I am not familiar with anything related to this. Are you on a full admin account on your computer or are you using a restricted user account? ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

If you get this error again, try this: Click Apple in top left of screen, click System Preferences, click Security and Privacy, see if there is field telling you your system does not trust it but Install anyway. I get the same thing and am guessing this is it. Apple and Google do not like to allow the other to do much natively |

| Thanks, Jim and Paul. I ended up going to the Apple Genius Bar and they helped set me up so that I can now Preview in Chrome. Regards - KF | |
