Changing layout dimensions on master page & other pages

When I first set up Everweb, I was not aware that the page length was expandable, so I made my initial master pages with longer lengths. Now that I've learned they are expandable, I'm trying to change my master pages to shorter lengths by changing the numbers in the Page Layout section. I want to eliminate the extra blank space on some of my web pages that have been created using the master template. The problem is, even though I change the length in Page Layout (say, from 1000 to 600), it doesn't change. I thought maybe it would only do it on new pages, but new pages are still coming up at 1000. I thought maybe I had to quit Everweb and restart, but that still didn't help. It's totally ignoring my new 600 number. How do I get the Page Layout section numbers to actually change the layout as I change the numbers? Also, in iWeb, not only could you make a page longer, you could make it shorter by dragging up the footer line. This doesn't seem to work in Everweb. Is there a trick to doing that? |

I just tested this and it works fine. Are you sure on your shorter pages you don't have a transparent shape making the pages longer? Use the Show Layout button under the Window menu to check. Maybe Lee's been applying the changes to each page rather than the MASTER page.
