There is a question about the iOS Simulator in Announcements which I will move here since it shouldn't be in that section. V1.7 has the facility to preview sites in the iOS simulator. It is essential to test not only the mobile version of the site but the main one as well. Many visitors are surfing the net using tablets and most of the EverWeb created websites that I have viewed are really not suitable for this purpose. Any page wider than about 800px is going to be difficult to read due the apparent decrease in font size and most of the links are too small a target for finger tips. Here's an image showing what a full sized web site should look like on the iPad simulator... http://everwebcodebox.com/html5/design/ipad-website.html... and the iPhone... http://everwebcodebox.com/html5/design/iphone-website.html Use the iPhone 4S to test the mobile site and the iPad 2 to test the main site. There's some info on THIS page about downloading Xcode and how to find and create an alias to the simulator. If you are using the EverWeb drop down menu, you will see that it is not possible to close the last opened window on an iPad. This widget provides a fix... http://everwebcodebox.com/html5/misc-2/menu-close.html Here's some general hints on designing your main website primarily for tablets rather than computers... http://everwebcodebox.com/html5/design/design-basics.html Replace all hovers with tap/click to open/close and use CTA buttons instead of text hyperlinks. The HTML5 Widgets section of the EverWeb Codebox site uses an 800px width and the main font used for elements is 15px Verdana which is a good compromise where text has to be easily readable on both computers and tablets. With a smaller font and/or a wider page width, readability is compromised and any site with a page width of 1000px and up is a disaster. Remember that websites that don't work properly on tablets are becoming extinct and are going to discourage visitors from coming back. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
