????? Page load sequentially from top to bottom????

The webpage I'm working on has a fairly long scrolling homepage. At the top is a slider of photos, as you scroll down more photos, an Iframe for a calendar, a second manual slide show, etc.

I've designed the page to (hopefully) hold the viewers attention on the first slider for a few seconds allowing time for other elements further down the scroll to load.

Is there anyway to have the page load sequentially? Experience for me is the page elements always load all at the same time, bit by bit. It would be good to have the lower elements load after the top of the page.

Elements are loaded in the order in which they appear in the HTML document which is the same as the order in which you inserted them onto the EverWeb design canvas.

If you inserted a slideshow last and then dragged it to the top of the page it will still load last.

A lot of drag and drop app users don't realise this and end up with an HTML doc that is a jumbled mess because they didn't plan the page content and layout before creating it.

Why not offer a solution?

There is a topic about a proposed solution somewhere in this forum - if you can find it!

My solution is to use common sense. Most web designers work from a wireframe or sketch (the pencil and paper type thing) and then insert the objects in the correct order.

Drag and drop users tend to use the design canvas for this which is OK if they figure out the layout on a spare page and then transfer the elements to a new page in the correct order. How hard is that?

Plan page layout? I really do my best but the creative process, 'no matter how lame the creative part is' leads to changes.

Got it!

So, I've been playing around with the page for quite a while moving things around until they look right to me, sometimes adding something new near the top and then moving it again. It seems to me that it will leave quite a mess on loading.

Question,,, Then I can drag-n-drop from the original page in the order I wish it to load and it will straighten up the mess?
