Viewing making links in mobile pages

making links in mobile pages

When I make a link in a mobile page, do I link to another mobile page, or to the original (same) page I made for desktop?

(Not sure that's clear, but can't think how else to word it...)

It shouldn't really matter since the desktop page should redirect to the mobile one if the visitor is using a smart phone. On the other hand, a link to the mobile page is more efficient in terms of the page download time and would be my choice.

Text hyperlinks should be avoided on mobile sites unless they have extra padding added to them. See this page for more info about mobile links…

Even on standard websites, CTAs are being used instead of text/image links since they are much more effective. They are now considered an integral part of good modern web design….
