EverWeb 1.7FC1 - problem with image slideshow widget

I have just updated the EverWeb to 1.7FC1 from 1.6 (Build 1287) and notice that when I add images to the Image Slideshow widget it displays as anticipated in EverWeb, but when published all the images neatly cascade down the screen, hiding everything else. (Images 01 and 02 of attached files). The previous version, using 1.6 (Build 1287) and shown in image 03, displays the slideshow correctly. Is this a bug in EverWeb or the widget? I am happy to revert back to the previous build in order to get this test site done, providing everything is backwards compatible. Otherwise it's an outstanding program and I really enjoy the ease and simplicity of it, allied to the great results! Last edit 11 years ago |

Sounds like you published to a folder. This won't work the same as previous versions. Publish to your server and it should work fine.

Paul, thanks for your rapid response. I did publish to a folder as the site concept has to be presented to the client before going live. In the interim I have reverted to v1.6 (build 1287) to achieve my goal but will I have to publish to a server with the final version of 1.7 in order to see the correct changes? If so, forgive me, but this sounds like a retrograde step. |

I understand that it sounds like that but the change allows people to publish EverWeb websites to both a secure and non secure server The next version will work as you expect when publishing to a folder though. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
